An entertaining western with great landscapes, bright photography and beautiful actresses.
Settlers survive in a wagon attack by the Apaches through the Comanche "Tod" (Richard Widmark). From this point should put their lives in the hands of this character, a white man who has spent much of his life with the Comanches and being chased by committing three murders.
It's a wonderful adventure film format "western" itinerant, full of adventure, danger and life lessons. Daves does a good job, an energetic and exciting film, pitting heroes against the rugged toughness forced a vast natural environment. We highlight the exemplary value of the landscape as essential dramatic figure, and the narrative takes a brisk pace but not fast, a dash dense but not cumbersome.
Delmer Daves ("Broken Arrow", "3:10 to Yuma"), with a brilliant leadership, we are presented with a history of intrigue and adventure, action-packed and much suspense. Richard Widmark does an excellent interpretation, with a great cast that appears beautiful Felicia Farr (who was the wife of Jack Lemmon), and James Drury (The Virginian), this unjustly forgotten film in western good time.
